Machakel phase ends with 1.3 million trees growing!
Our work in Amhara is now moving from Machakel to neighbouring Jabi-Tehnan (West Gojjam province) and scaling up to ten times its current size with the restoration of 10 000 ha of the Gewocha Forest and surrounding communal lands.

A plentiful grass harvest means an income for Medhanit
Medhanit Y., 31 years old, is a single mother with one son. She has no land or livestock, but has been able to have a share of the project's benefits by harvesting grasses from the communal restoration sites.

An amazing transformation
