These members of the Mwita Community Forest Management Group (CFMG) are gathered around a manual honey press, extracting honey from locally nurtured beehives for their first-ever harvest! Not only does beekeeping boost their incomes, it's also a vital part of local conservation efforts: it promotes biodiversity by fostering healthy bee populations, ensuring the pollination of indigenous plants in the miombo forest.
