This image shows a restoration site near Foundiougne about a year after planting. It's low tide, so it's easy to see that the no-longer-propagules are looking good! They’ve got their first leaves, and they will eventually start to produce the distinctive aerial roots that stabilise the plant while also providing oxygen. These slender central stems can grow to up to 50 cm in diameter in maturity.
