Exploring avenues for sustainable incomes

On May 23rd the Wof Washa project hosted a one-day workshop to explore avenues to enhance the livelihoods of the almost 8500 households in the forest community. Bringing together participants from 12 forest cooperatives, as well as community members, government officials and experts, the workshop looked at some promising avenues to generate sustainable incomes for communities while promoting forest conservation, in particular the carbon trade and eco-tourism.
