Precautions during the dry conditions

During the extremely dry conditions it is worth reminding our members and visitors to be extra careful and vigilant when visiting our woodlands.

Woodlands are cooler than cities, towns or open countryside and can be a great escape from the heat, but they also need protecting from the risk of destructive fires.

Naked flames, open fires and barbeques are not permitted on our sites and we encourage people to raise awareness of the risks and to immediately report any fire or smoke that they encounter by calling 999.
