African Bamboo is a Dutch-Ethiopian group of companies focused on developing sustainable bamboo alternatives for plastics, steel, concrete and tropical hardwoods for use in the global construction industry.

We are building a vertically integrated group around the four pillars of business: forestry operations and production facilities in Ethiopia, logistics and sales point in the Netherlands and R&D facilities for the manufacture and export of bamboo-based composites to Europe and the United States.

The group designs its own bio-materials and products, and licenses this intellectual property to third parties across Africa to generate production and development impact act scale.
