The Ecuadorian non-profit foundation Bosquefino was founded in 2021. The Fundación Bosquefino acquires the properties that form part of Arbofino’s pure conservation concept, which focuses on climate protection and biodiversity promotion, in order to safeguard and thus protected the land from any commercial interests in the long term. All Bosquefino areas are designated as nature reserves.

In addition to species and climate protection, the foundation's purpose includes also social projects to support the local community and raise awareness of environmental issues as well as scientific projects in cooperation with national and international universities in order to give students the opportunity to gain valuable experience and produce important scientific data.
