Organization Description: COBEC was established in 2009 and registered as a community-based organization following increased reports of marine resources degradation including mangroves caused by local communities due to lack of alternative sources of wood products and alternatives sources of income, and also destruction caused by salt firms and lack of community involvement of natural resource management. The mission of the organization is to facilitate and empower local people to manage and conserve natural resources.
