Futuro Forestal focuses on impact forestry and reforestation of tropical forests. Since 1994 the company has sought to develop sustainable alternatives to conventional monoculture timber investments. Our permanent forests, based on the generation forest concept, sequester CO2, provide habitat for biodiversity, regenerate soil and water resources and create local employment opportunities. To date we have planted over 10,000 hectares of tropical hardwood.

We manage forestry assets for institutional and private investors to generate long-term, risk-adjusted, financial, social and environmental returns. To meet market demands, we have specialized in land use optimization; obtaining premium growth, financial returns and sustainable use of soils by employing a mix of native and exotic hardwood for timber production. This method opens a much broader universe of commercially viable reforestation areas.
