About

iamgurgaon is a citizen’s initiative focused on restoring Gurgaon’s green habitat that has been lost to rampant urbanization. The group, formed by concerned residents, strives to make a difference by creating environments that heal the ecology of our city.

For effective change we believe in partnerships. We work together.

We work with the government, other NGOs, the citizens and corporates to create impact. The Aravali Biodiversity Park, Chakkarpur Wazirabad Bundh, Badshahpur Forest Corridor, Sikanderpur Watershed and Restoration of the Forest and Samadhan Hub are examples of what true collaboration can achieve. We could not have done this without the generous contributions by corporates, citizen volunteers and the support of the government.

Increasing the green cover in the city is an important objective and we have planted over 175,000 trees across the city as part of ‘Million Trees Gurgaon’. Waste has been another area of concern, something that is not sustainable at existing magnitudes. We have addressed this through educational campaigns around waste, initiatives led by children and citizens, artist installations to bring awareness amongst others.

OUR ETHOS

Work Together. Make A Difference.
We believe that great change is possible when we come together as one. While this has been our inspiration, it has also attributed to our success. All of us together make Gurgaon what it is. We are the present and we create the future.
