Karbon Biru (Blue Carbon in Indonesian) is a mangrove and wetlands carbon capture and sequestration project that aim to foster:
1) blue forest conservation as a biological carbon capture and storage;
2) blue economy by treating wastewater effluent from brackish pond and enabling silvofishery before discharged to the ocean;
3) wildlife and functional diversity of surrounding mangrove area; and
4) blue society protection by advocating mangrove as better, easier, and more affordable coastal protection. We focus on blue growth and local resiliency.
