Why would we plant trees in the UK? The United Kingdom has a long history of deforestation. At the turn of the 20th century, the UK had just 5% forest cover and tree felling intensified even more during the first world war. In the UK we also focus on enriching existing forests because their sustainability is not guaranteed without action.

Tree planting activities in Wythy Piece!
All the trees in Whyty Piece have been planted. With the completion of the reforestation of this parcel, the project in Stansted Park Foundation is finished!

The first trees have been planted in Standsted Forest!
During the past weeks, the first part of this plantation has been completed. Little conifer trees have been planted on the plot. We also fenced the plot to protect it from deer and fallow deer.
