Summary
Agrobosque's members cultivate cacao within the Tambopata National Reserve Buffer Zone. The surrounding forests suffer from encroachment, burnings and other illegal activities that degrade the value of the land and are a threat to the area's rich biodiversity. The engagment with WWF seeks to increase the productivity of the cooperative members by restoring forest land and adopting agroforestry practices, which in turn acts as a protective barrier against such activities for the National Reserve.
