Project
Agroecology and permaculture innovation for climate change actions and biodiversity conservation
Rift Valley • Kenya Started in December 2021 Active Agroforestry, Agriculture, Restoration, Natural Forest Management, Education
Summary
The project address the problem of lack of knowledge and skills in agroecology in Indigenous People , the Indigenous food production methods as a result of the push for biotechnology and synthetic fertilizers and food production processes including hormonal injection of livestock to produce more milk. IPs live in Arid and Semi-Arid regions and are affected by climate change, land degradation, conflict due to competition for pasture and water leading to high mortality rates.
