The Andean Condor Conservation Program (hereinafter “PCCA” for its acronym in Spanish) is intended for the conservation of the Andean Condor (Vultur gryphus) within its distribution area, both historical and current, with the purpose of ensuring the long term viability of its populations. In Argentina, it is categorized as "Threatened". Globally, the Red List of Threatened Species of the IUCN concludes that their populations are decreasing and are "Near Threatened”.
