Project
PT Coroadinha

José and his family have farmed in this area for over 200 years. The landscape consists of 324 hectares with a mix of cork and holm oaks with pastures where 148 head of Mertolenga - a native breed of cattle - graze alongside various wildlife species such as wild boar, rabbit, wild cat, partridge, royal owl and golden eagle. By supporting and assisting natural regeneration, the family will diversify its source of income while establishing a healthy and symbiotic balance between producing the food we eat and a more biodiverse and resilient ecosystem.
