This is the second largest project led by BIOFIX. It is carried out together with the Community Councils "Los Delfines" and Cupica. This project aims to protect 103,022 hectares of tropical rainforest in the extreme north of the Department of Chocó, promoting actions to strengthen territorial governance, participatory reforestation, community oversight, strengthening the agricultural sector with productive processes around coconut, annatto, ginger, and vanilla, sustainability in forestry and fishing, and economic diversification with local ecotourism.
The name of the project was defined as a tribute to the families that make up the community councils of Cupica and Costa Pacifica Norte del Chocó, Los Delfines, located in Bahía Solano and Juradó, Chocó, respectively, which are part of this important conservation project.
