In october 2015 we began reforesting the nursery plot to enhance forest connectivity and to protect natural water springs found in this area. After three years, nature has reconquered the area, as well as many birds and monkeys. 49 different species of trees were planted in this area. We focused on food sources for monkeys and curassows, fast growing trees and hardwood species that are threatened in the area.. We also planted several fruit trees as a food source for the Reserve. Biodiversity has increased enormously over the years and it is now a common transit place for many species of birds and mammals, including Silvery-grey tamarins and Capuchin monkeys.
