The native plant nursery has produced more than 10.000 seedlings from more than 50 native species that are either threatened or are important as a food source for the wild fauna, most of which were raised from local seeds and seedlings. These have been planted in El Silencio and in the area of Barbacoas to restore key areas and create connectivity corridors between the forest patches. We focus on endangered hardwood species and plants that are used as seed source for monkeys and curassows.
