Desde hace unos años junto con su hermano y primos, gestiona el cortijo familiar de su abuelo, en Fuente Grande, el cual ha pertenecido a la familia “desde siempre”.
Un proyecto, dar vida a esta finca, que comparte con sus primos “Esta finca es muy especial, tenemos un sentimiento familiar muy profundo todos los primos, mi padre y mi tía; Vélez-Rubio era el lugar de encuentro familiar, y en agosto era el cumpleaños de mi abuelo y era una gran fiesta, veníamos todos, más familia y amigos, recuerdo con mucha nostalgia aquellos tiempos. A mi abuelo lo tenemos todos muy presentes”.
El tesoro de la finca, destaca Maurandi, es la “fuente de vida”, una fuente con su balsa para la que tiene el proyecto de canalizar y recuperar el agua que se pierde para poder usarla en algunas parcelas de regadío. “Este es un lugar ideal para los críos, es un sitio espectacular y aunque no es especialmente productiva, mi sueño e ilusión es invertir en esta finca, que sea rentable, no para hacernos ricos que tenemos nuestros trabajos que nos gustan, sino para revertir los beneficios en la misma naturaleza, dándole biodiversidad”.
For some years now, together with his brother and cousins, he has been managing his grandfather's family farm in Fuente Grande, which has belonged to the family "forever".
A project, to give life to this farm, which he shares with his cousins "This farm is very special, we have a very deep family feeling, all the cousins, my father and my aunt; Vélez-Rubio was the family meeting place, and in August it was my grandfather's birthday and it was a big party, we all came, plus family and friends, I remember those times with a lot of nostalgia. The treasure of the estate, Maurandi points out, is the "fountain of life", a fountain with its pond for which he has a project to channel and recover the water that is lost so that it can be used in some irrigated plots. "This is an ideal place for the children, it is a spectacular site and although it is not particularly productive, my dream and illusion is to invest in this farm, to make it profitable, not to get rich, we have our jobs that we like, but to revert the benefits to nature itself, giving it biodiversity".
