On the Finca Guatusa 25 hectares were planted with teak. The rest of the finca consists of valuable secondary forest (11 ha), a small farmhouse for the local rural family and a pasture of almost 2 hectares for their animals.
Meaning Guatusa: The agouti is a widespread rodent about 50 cm long. The diurnal animal lives in open as well as forested areas.
