The current Pro-Nature Economic Development Project elements include:
- Supporting the implementation of Tourism activities within the Badinkwanyane communities, with both tourism sites and immersive homestay accommodation offerings.
- Establishment of the Kruger to Canyons Biosphere tourism destination; working towards sustainable tourism within the landscape and better beneficiation across communities.
- Market access systems for small businesses through our farmer’s markets.
- Establishing innovative solutions in waste management and adding further value to waste reclaimers.
- Establishing innovative solutions to combat waste not currently being recycled within our Biosphere.
- Strengthening community-based businesses through training and mentorship.
- Supporting traditional savings methods (Stokvel groups) to optimise savings and leverage micro finance.
