Habitats Conservation in Society
Cultural Landscape of Sintra - UNESCO World Heritage Centre • Portugal Started in January 2018 Active 694 ha Restoration
Summary
This project aims to implement a broad ecological restoration on degraded agricultural lands based on the reintroduction of native plants, the removal of invasive vegetation, the management of wildlife corridors and the creation of artificial niches for animal species. This collective effort — spearheaded by our team in conjunction with the local community — will be supported by a grassroots platform that invites society to take its place in the active management of adjacent natural habitats.
