Ausgangslage
Das Gebiet des Biotopkomplexes Ippenburg umfasst intensiv genutzte land- und forstwirtschaftliche Flächen sowie naturnahe Elemente wie Fließgewässer und Waldstücke. Teile der Flächen sind durch Monokulturen geprägt, während andere Bereiche bereits als geschützte Biotope oder Landschaftsschutzgebiete ausgewiesen sind.
Zielzustand
Das Ziel ist die Entwicklung eines mosaikartigen Biotopkomplexes, der unterschiedliche Lebensräume wie Feuchtgrünland, naturnahe Fließgewässer, Laubwälder und lineare Gehölzstrukturen integriert. Dies fördert die biologische Vielfalt und verbessert die ökologische Vernetzung.
Maßnahmen
Renaturierung von Fließgewässern
Umgestaltung des Wimmerbachs und der Hunte mit Mäandern, Auen und natürlicher Ufervegetation.
Entwicklung von extensivem Grünland
Umwandlung von Ackerflächen und intensiv genutzten Grünflächen in artenreiche Extensivgrünländer.
Aufforstung
Pflanzung heimischer Laubbaumarten wie Stieleiche, Hainbuche und Flatterulme.
Schaffung von Wallhecken
Anlage von linearen Gehölzstrukturen, um die Landschaft zu gliedern und Lebensräume zu verbinden.

The area of the Ippenburg biotope complex includes intensively used agricultural and forestry areas as well as near-natural elements such as watercourses and forest patches. Some areas are characterized by monocultures, while others are already designated as protected biotopes or landscape conservation areas.
Target State
The goal is to develop a mosaic-like biotope complex that integrates various habitats such as wet grasslands, near-natural watercourses, deciduous forests, and linear woody structures. This enhances biodiversity and improves ecological connectivity.
Measures
Renaturation of Watercourses
Reshaping the Wimmerbach and Hunte with meanders, floodplains, and natural riparian vegetation.
Development of Extensive Grasslands
Conversion of arable land and intensively used grasslands into species-rich extensive grasslands.
Afforestation
Planting native deciduous tree species such as pedunculate oak, hornbeam, and wych elm.
Creation of Hedgerows
Establishing linear woody structures to structure the landscape and connect habitats.
