In 2016 I proposed to a government agency that we could restore these dunes and celebrate the arid shrublands of the Thar Desert with some imaginative interpretive signage and restored dune features. Kishan Bagh was opened to the public in October of 2022 as a 62 hectare (150 acre) park and is another successful aridland restoration project, this time in a sandy landscape.
