Project
Landscape Restoration for Ecosystem Recovery (LRER)
Niger, Tahoua started 2022 In preparation Agroforestry, Restoration, Silvopasture
Summary
LRER will contribute to Africa's Great Green Wall by bringing back the landscapes that have been degraded by climate change. The project restores marshlands, rebuilds pastures, and promotes agroforestry for sustainable food production in the northern Tahoua region of Niger. LRER will address severe water scarcity, loss of biodiversity, and persistent desertification, balancing sustainable management and rehabilitation of wetlands and pasturelands, with sustainable agroforestry.
