The Community Council of the Naya River Account is located in the southern zone of the Pacific Andean Range, near the Department of Cauca and Valle, in the Naya River watershed that stretches from the mountainous region of the Western Cordillera to the Pacific Ocean.
This Council has implemented forest monitoring and oversight processes, reforestation of degraded areas, strengthening food security with food crops such as bananas, bananillo, Chinese potatoes, plantains, among others; the development of agricultural production processes with chontaduro and other minor species, the incorporation of sustainability criteria in fishing activities; the achievement of opportunities for access to higher education, the strengthening of health care and improving the quality of life of their communities.
The name of this project is in honor of the name of the Community Council and the Naya River.
