Project
PALAMEKU KUWEI REDD+

This project is made up of 6 indigenous reserves in Cumaribo, Vichada, and seeks to carry out initiatives to reduce deforestation and improve the living conditions of their communities through lines of action to guarantee biodiversity conservation, food sovereignty with the cultivation of rice, corn, citrus fruits in traditional conucos, and an alternative source of income through the commercialization of plantain, sweet yucca, yucca brava and chili under the proposal of green business, silvopastoral use and non-timber forest resources.
The word "PALAMEKU" is a god creator of the tools to work the tree of life. He was the one who made the axe, which is the symbol of all tools. And KUWEI means: creator god of the earth, water and of the whole cosmovision of the Sikuani Piapoco.
