Hugo Abelardo Ruiz Figueroa, who speaks Spanish and is a member of ADAT, owns his coffee plots in the communities of Chilin, Tojquia, Tajawitz with a total area of 1.43 hectares with the varieties of caturra, bourbon, pache and catuaí, which he combines with the species of sapote, chalum, avocado and guabas, thus creating his own agroforestry system. Production of the species he combines with coffee, he uses it as a complement in the family's diet and as an energy source.
In the period 2019-2020 it had a production of 21.33 quintals of parchment, which it commercializes with the base organization through the Fair Trade FLO seal and the organic certifier Kiwa BCS, allowing it to have price differentials that contribute to improve its family economy.
