The Gambella wetland and springs are vital during the dry season, benefiting nearby and distant pastoralist communities. However, overutilization, mismanagement, and climate change have negatively affected these areas. We are currently working with the local stakeholders to develop a joint vision and implement various interventions to protect the remaining parts of this area, including the most important spring of the wetland, and to create an inventory of water resources.
