Our Mission

Giant Sequoias are now on the IUCN Endangered Species Red List due to the threat of drought and wildfires in their natural habitat in the US. Their current rate of decline is circa 10% per year, and there are today only estimated to be 75,000 old growth Sequoias remaining. Our mission, with the help of our tree Patrons, is to create THE GREAT RESERVE, to replicate the stock of surviving Sequoias in the US by planting and nurturing 100,000 Giant Sequoias here in the UK as an effort of ‘assisted migration’ to offer a more secure future for the species.
