Sustainable Harvest International (SHI) is a non-profit that supports smallholder farmers in Central America transition to sustainable agroecology practices. Since 1997, it has regenerated 26,000 acres and planted 4 million trees. Its largest program is in Honduras, addressing deforestation and food insecurity. With over 25 years of success, SHI plans to help one million farmers regenerate 8 million acres and plant a billion trees by 2030.
