Imagine a world where a university campus is not only a place of learning, but also a bastion of life, a sanctuary for the natural world. That's the vision we're bringing to life with the restoration of Pwani University's 600-acre campus in Kilifi. Together, we're planting a diverse mix of native tree species, including several that are critically endangered, to create a true jungle university with groundbreaking research.

But this initiative is so much more than simply planting trees. It's about inspiring the next generation of leaders to take action for the environment. With a student body of 9,000, we're engaging them in every aspect of the restoration process, from seed propagation to large-scale planting. We're even using tissue culture to clone trees in the lab, ensuring the survival of threatened species.

Through our coastal nurseries, we're not only encouraging the planting of native trees, but also creating a market for them, providing equipment, shading, and training.

The potential for this project is immense. We can transform this university into a thriving ecosystem and a blueprint for others to follow. Let's unite and create a future where nature and education can truly coexist.
