Wild Survivors
Wild Survivors launched a new initiative which combines two powerhouses for conservation and biodiversity: women and bees. We established a sustainable beekeeping and forest protection programme for women most affected by elephant conflict and acute poverty in the community. The WS project is run in collaboration with Karatu District and the village of Upper Kitete, bordering the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Coordinating stakeholder engagement, data collection and analysis, and fundraising.

Local Community Mentors Organisation
WASIMA is a grassroots NGO based in southwestern Tanzania, formerly known as Landscape and Conservation Mentors Organization (LCMO). Our primary focus is working with communities to improve the fragile lion conservation on village land, which in turn contributes to enhancing the ecological integrity of the landscape, including core protected areas. We focus on villages most vulnerable to human-lion conflicts, bordering protected areas that serve as buffer zones and wildlife corridors.
