TSB is committed to investing in Nature Based Solutions through a partnership with Forest Carbon. This partnership enables TSB to invest in projects that capture CO2 and also provide wider climate mitigation benefits such as flood alleviation, habitat creation, employment, sustainable timber and cleaner air. TSB colleagues also have the opportunity to volunteer at these sites and learn more about the positive impact these projects have on nature and biodiversity.

Woodland Creation and Peatland Restoration for Carbon Capture and Ecosystem Services Forest Carbon leads the way in UK woodland creation for carbon capture. Through the planting of over 13 million new trees since 2006, our partners’ projects are removing nearly 3 million tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere, as well as providing a host of other benefits to society, including flood mitigation, enhanced biodiversity and increased public access.

The Woodland Carbon Code (WCC) is the quality assurance standard for woodland creation projects in the UK, and generates independently verified carbon units. Backed by the Government, the forest industry and carbon market experts, the Code is unique in providing woodland carbon units in the UK. The WCC is internationally recognised for high standards of sustainable forest management and carbon management and is endorsed by ICROA.
