Continuous cover forestry techniques will be used, meaning gradual thinning and re-planting to create an all-age natural forest, with no clear-felling. A large native broadleaf element will also be planted to buffer adjacent semi-natural ancient woodlands, and all watercourses. A Roman route at the site has been identified and will be protected.
