Design:
5 lines of more or less 25m with 3meters interlines
Orientation is crucial in designing a syntropic area. We make beds in North - South orientation with a couple of degrees off towards the West for optimal sunlight/ shade for the system.
In the space (3m width) in between the lines of trees - the interlines - the production of vegetables will take place.
In the first stage of the system the main goal will be producing biomass to feed the system and cover /build the soil.
In a next stage we can introduce productive species like fruit or nut trees in the shade of the biomass producers. At that stage the vegetables are no longer supporting the system - it’s possible to move them while we introduce new lines towards the east and follow the same principles.
