Since 2006, Amisacho celebrates the conservation and restoration of jungle restoration from the encroaching cities and deforestation practices by developing an environmental research station focused on preservation, investigation, and education. Amisacho is a model project that demonstrates the possibilities to restore tropical forest after it’s soils have been exploited and degenerated by resource extraction, agro-toxins, and cattle farming. Amisacho offers capacity building opportunities for the aspired women, farmers, and Indigenous of the oil-boom province of Sucumbios where access to environmentally conscious resources and guidance is scarce to non-existent
Nine hectares of reforestation and conservation from 2006-2017 that Amisacho initiated evolving into an environmental research station focused on preservation, investigation, and education for Green Heart Project. Living in this island of jungle are six species of monkeys, a growing number of tropical birds, river otters, a family of caiman, native bees, and many jungle mammals
