Summary
The species diversity at Panguana is an inexhaustible source for fascinating research as has been performed there for nearly 50 years by scientists from around the world. Panguana and its surroundings are a true hotspot of biodiversity with over 360 bird species, 115 mammal, 78 reptile, 76 amphibian, 57 bat and 34 fish species. However, most notable is the vast diversity of insects and other invertebrates.
