Sheep can play an important role in improving the conditions of the soil with their grazing, stamping and fertilizing skills. Moving sheep around over your land in a strategical way can improve the soil fertility drastically.

During the first days of 2021, members of OpenForests visited Vinha Velha to map the farm using drones. The result is just mind blowing. The high resolution imagery will help us to analyze the landscape, plan interventions ánd show you what we do.

We are actively inviting the local community to get involved in the topic of ecosystem restoration. In collaboration with renown permaculture farm Vale da Lama we join forces to raise awareness by inviting people to join our events in February.
