The Greenpop Foundation
The Greenpop Foundation NPC is an award-winning registered non-profit organisation headquartered in Cape Town, South Africa. We work to restore ecosystems and empower environmental stewards through reforestation, urban greening, sustainable development, and environmental art projects across Sub-Saharan Africa. Greenpop was founded in 2010 and has since planted over 119,000 trees and educated over 132,000 active citizens across South Africa, Zambia, Malawi, and Tanzania.
In collaboration with
The Wild Bird Trust (Cape Parrot Project)
The Wild Bird Trust is a registered South African trust and PBO that was founded in 2009 with the primary objective of keeping birds safe in the wild. The aim is to encourage the use of flagship threatened bird species as “ecosystem ambassadors” in their indigenous habitat. The Cape Parrot Project aims to help conserve the endemic and threatened Cape Parrot through research on the species, and improve their habitat through reforestation efforts. Over 41 000 trees have been planted in 10 years.
