Dried grass is a great form of biomass to protect the (life inside the) soil against harsh sun and wind conditions. It will also reduce fire risk.

We mulched the soil around the freshly planted trees during our last session of our own 'Fridays for Future'. We collected the dry cut grass and made a nest around the trees.

We planted diverse native trees and bushes to make this area more biodiverse.
