The Pampas del Heath National Sanctuary
The Pampas del Heath National Sanctuary (created in 1983) is a border territory with Bolivia. Delimited by the rivers Heath and Palma Real. It is protected as the only ecosystem of savannahs or wet grasslands of Peru, which harbors strange species of flora and fauna. Its purpose is to help preserve the deer of the swamps that only inhabit this sector of Peru, and protect the flora and fauna of the Heath ecosystem.

Within the framework of the Tambopata-Bahuaja Sonene REDD + Project, we value the services of the RNTAMB forests and their love zone to implement the Ecosystem Service Compensation Mechanism (MERESE).

Observation of Flora & Fauna in PNBS
In the PNBS has been reported the presence of more than 600 species of birds -378 of them in the Heath River sector- among which 7 species of macaws, the pink spatula (Ajaia ajaja), the condor of the jungle (Sarcoramphus) papa) and the harpy eagle (Harpya harpyja)

Observation of Flora & Fauna in RNTAMB
In the RNTMB the presence of more than 632 species of birds, 1,200 of butterflies, 103 of amphibians, 180 of fish, 169 of mammals and 103 of reptiles has been reported.

Post-harvest plant - COOPASER cooperative
In 2014, it was promoted the creation of a cocoa producers cooperative (COOPASER). Currently, the cooperative is made up of 288 members, farmers who have signed a conservation agreement, in which they commit to stop deforesting primary forest and, in exchange, work agroforestry systems on their farms with a technical package granted by AIDER.
